  1. Readme for MusicManIII V3.00 Beta1 (c)1991-1996 Andreas Mair

  4. This is only a BETA release of MusicManIII.
  5. Currently there is no documentation or online help available.
  6. No other languages than english are supported at the moment.
  7. Not all requesters are implemented yet:
  8.   - Project/Create MC
  9.   - Project/Export
  10.   - Project/Import
  11.   - Record/Copy
  12.   - Record/CD player (is under development)
  13.   - File/Create/#?
  14.   - File/Save/#?
  15.   - File/Manager (a little bit)
  16.   - Macros/#?
  17. All other functions are FULLY operable!

  19. This beta release lacks an installer too.

  22. The final release of MMIII V3.00 will include:
  23.   - documentation (maybe only a printed edition which
  24.     you may order while registering?)
  25.   - online help in english and german
  26.   - localized in english and german
  27.   - installer script in english and german
  28.   - less bugs (are there any?)
  29.   - more features (ARexx-Port etc.)

  33. MusicManIII V3.00 is SHAREWARE. So what you got here is only
  34. a limited DEMO. If you want to know what limitations there
  35. are you'd better start MusicManIII and select "Project/About/
  36. Distribution" because it depends on the installed key-file.
  37. If you want to register yourself as an user of MMIII I ask
  38. you to wait until the final 3.00 release is available (I
  39. suggest you use the time in between to check if it satisfies
  40. your needs). Prices etc. will be available by then.

  44. Some notes on usage
  45. ===================

  47.   I think (and hope) that mostly MusicManIII is self-explai-
  48.   ning. The only important thing is that if you want to add
  49.   a new record by selecting "Record/Create" you have to take
  50.   care of following things:
  51.     After selecting this item the "Interpreter:" entryfield
  52.     is active. Press TAB or CursorDown to jump to the next
  53.     entryfield. Or press Shift+TAB or CursorUp to jump to
  54.     the previous entryfield. When you've you data in the
  55.     entryfields press RETURN (or ESC is you want to lose
  56.     changes made to the current entryfield) to switch to the
  57.     songs entryfields (the big ListView-Gadget). Here you
  58.     are able to add songs if you press TAB to get to the
  59.     next song line. Press RETURN to leave the current song
  60.     line and to NOT add songs anymore. Leaving a song line
  61.     means that you edited the song, the length and the bpm
  62.     (this depends on you prefs because you can disable
  63.     entering of length and bpm).
  64.     Please note that songs will always be added if you leave
  65.     the last song line with the TAB-key!

  67.   Btw: the songs ListView-Gadget contains 5 columns (left to
  68.   right):
  69.     - Number
  70.       The number of the songs. Holds colour for marking too.
  71.     - Song name
  72.     - Song length
  73.       or Counter in MC mode, depending on your prefs.
  74.     - BPM (Beats per minute)
  75.     - Special field
  76.       anything you want. Not supported yet!!!

  78.   If you need more information on usage you may want to try
  79.   one of the following:
  80.     - contact me (the author), prefered via E-Mail.
  81.     - try reading the documentation for MusicManII V2.xx
  82.       which you can upload from AmiNet. May help you because
  83.       MMIII tries (even though it's completely rewritten!)
  84.       not to use absolutely redesigned requester.
  85.     - don't worry because documantation will soon be avail-
  86.       able.

  91. because one can only say it's rubbish if (s)he told the
  92. author what (s)he disliked and the author didn't care for that.
